I've been interested in photography most of my life, started with a Kodak Instamatic as a young boy and graduated to a Yashica 35 rangefinder as a teenager. It took me until 1992 to realize that Photography was my passion though. I decided to take a photo workshop, which was led by Galen Rowell. After seeing Galen's work I knew I had a long way to go. I give him credit for the inspiration, and I have taken at least one workshop every year since, but Galen's words still reverberate in my head,"Brian, you are capable of doing better".
I'll always be striving to do better and I hope my images reflect it, but all my family & friends & fellow photographers tell me its time I started to share my photography.
I have recently got involved with large format photography, I purchased a 4x5 view camera that I have been using for about a year now. I have much to learn, but getting better with it.
I am a member of the NAPP and the NANPA.
